In January 2020, P. Vasu had stated that he had completed the script for the sequel and a producer had come forward to produce the film.

In June 2022, it was confirmed that Lyca Productions would produce the film, and that Vadivelu, Anthony, R. D. Rajasekhar, and Thota Tharani would be involved in the production.
